The Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh has taken decision to give housing loan to all the govt. employees through banking to build a new home at lowest interest.
Previously, the govt. employees could have upto 75 lacks bdt as housing loan. The act was ruled on 1st July, 2018. But every govt. employee could not apply for that. Those who used to have their salary through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), only could have applied for that loan.
As per the new circular, From 1st June, 2020, every govt. employee will be able to have the housing loan upto 75 lacks bdt. They will be able to get 90% of the housing amount. The interest for the loan will be only 9%, of which only 5% will have to be beared by the employee. Govt. will have to bear another 4%. That must be a great news for any govt. employee.
